Female Torso
Zbrush sculpt starting from a sphere and using dynamesh.  I plan to do something with this, i’m just not sure yet.  I’m thinking fan art since i’m considering this a warm up piece.

Have some finalized work!

I’ve been meaning to post this for a while now.  I’ve just been taking a small break since graduating, family, and coming back from GDC.  Had to since the con plague hit me and all.

So i finished this tonight.  UDK custom weapon with custom projectiles.

It’s a gun, in the shape of a cat, that shoots cheeseburgers.

I really like how this came out, its a great base texture. I still think it needs another pass to work up the ware. I havent used DDO yet. How long did this work flow take to get this far?

Last night it took me about an hour to sculpt/paint the bricks.  Then tonight it took a few hours of trial and error getting things set up and figuring out how to do this in zbrush.  Once i did i grabbed the docs i ran it through DDO and it only took a few minutes to run through DDO.

Right now it’s free to try for 45 days so you can give it a test run.

Hand painted-ish rocks!
So this is the texture for the stone path of the environment i’m working on.  I kept hearing a lot about DDO lately so i figured i would give it a try.  So this is what i did:
Sculpted 8 of these smooth brick stones in zbrush.  Arranged them on a plane and grabbed the doc of the finished maps.  Diffuse, displacement, specular, normals, and AO.  I did my normal photoshop stuff then ran it through DDO with the rock setting.  I didn’t change a whole lot on the settings, i just let it do it’s thing.
This is the outcome!
The only photo texture i used was under the rocks.  I grabbed a generic dirt to slap under the base of it knowing that the AO would fill in a lot of the space between the rocks.
The process turned out to be a lot easier than i expected and i’m totally sold on DDO and this new process of going through making my hand painted textures.

Have a BaBomb!
30 minute texture/model job-ish, somewhere in there.
He’s going into this Mario 64 based capture the flag level i’ve decided to revive.  Which i don’t mind at all.  UDKs kismet is a ton of fun.
And yes, he’s going to explode.
